My Current Summer Makeup Routine

First off, I want to say I’m so sorry about the quality of these photos…I don’t know what happened but hey, what can you do. I’ve been super busy the last couple of days and last night Shayne was up all night with food poisoning so being a good girlfriend and all, I was up helping him. Life gets busy and I just didn’t have time nor energy!

Carrying on..

We’re almost half way through the Summer, can you believe that!? And last thing I want to be doing is contouring the hell out of my face when it’s going to melt off from me sweatin’ so much lol.

Summer is my favourite time of the year, longer days, always sunny and warm. You’re always outside doing stuff and I find myself happier too. Call me crazy (and I know I’ll regret saying this once it’s here) but I’m also excited for Autumn!! I love the cool weather and cozy nights in with all the candles lit in the house, AHHH! But I still want summer to slow down so I can soak it in a little more.

My current makeup routine is pretty simple and takes me 5 minutes or less in the morning. Nothing special and definitely not hard. I’ll tell you step by step as to what I do practically every morning from skin care to highlighter.

Step 1: I start off by washing my face or splashing cold water to wake myself up and feel more fresh early in the am.

Step 2: Then I use my Vitamin C Serum by Drunk Elephant all over my face. Tip: Never rub in, always dab/push it into your skin. The product will soak into your skin better.

Step 3: I put my Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment under those dark circles. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen in my insta stories that It’s my absolute favourite eye cream. I have always struggled with dark circles under my eyes, since I was probably 10 years old, no joke. It’s just genetics unfortunately but instead of complaining about it, I do something about it! And that’s where this eye treatment comes in handy. Seriously, LOVE!

Step 4: I’m not too picky when it comes to my face moisturizer (that probably sounds really bad) but I’ve tried the best moisturizers that cost you an arm and a leg to purchase but then I feel no difference compared to the Olay moisturizer . I have used this moisturizer for years and I freakin’ love it! So why change something that ain’t broken!? AmIright!?

Step 5: Makeup time- Since I have a tan on my face (either from the sun or Bondisands) I’ll put my primer by studio face all over my skin first.

Step 6: Then I’ll put the sunscreen umbre tinte by drunk elephant all over face and neck. It also acts as a tinted moisturizer, so it covers some of the flaws. (Gives a hell of a glow too)

Step 7: Cover those bags girllll- My all time FAV eye concealer is not from Sephora. You can get it from your local drug store, it’s the Maybelline age rewind in the colour medium. I also swear by this product. One word. It COVERS.

Step 8: Brows, because “brows should look like sisters, not twins” I remember hearing that when I was a youngster and thought “whaaaa” But it’s true. I use the Anastasia Dipbrow in medium brown and then use a small angle brush to fill in.

Step 9: Bronzer. Because every girl needs a little bronze in their life. Especially this girl. The Kat Von D contour palette is hands down the best bronzer. I use the lightest shade in the palette, I’ll put it on my cheeks, upper forehead and then down my neck.

Step 10: Last step. Put a little highlight on your cheek bones and the bridge of your nose. I have the highlight from Nicole Guerriero glow kit. It just gives you that extra kiss by the sun look!

And Voila, 10 easy steps in less than 5 minutes, no hassle and no stress!
